Its a completely untrue Rumor ! Facebook is free and will not charge a single fee for profile changes.

Ever since Facebook introduced Timeline profiles, several Facebook status updates have been spreading on the world’s social network that claim Facebook users will have to pay for the new profile changes.

An example of some of the many Facebook scam statuses

Here’s one of the messages currently spreading on Facebook:

“THIS IS OFFICIAL… IT WAS EVEN ON THE NEWS… FACEBOOK WILL START CHARGING DUE TO THE NEW PROFILE CHANGES… IF YOU COPY THIS ON YOUR WALL YOUR ICON WILL TURN BLUE AND FACEBOOK WILL BE FREE FOR YOU. PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON, IF NOT YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED IF YOU DO NOT PAY!!”

And here’s yet another:

“FACE BOOK JUST RELEASED THEIR PRICE GRID FOR MEMBERSHIP. $9.99 PER MONTH FOR GOLD MEMBER SERVICES, $6.99 PER MONTH FOR SILVER MEMBER SERVICES, $3.99 PER MONTH FOR BRONZE MEMBER SERVICES, FREE IF YOU COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE BEFORE MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. WHEN YOU SIGN ON TOMORROW MORNING YOU WILL BE PROMPTED FOR PAYMENT INFO...IT IS OFFICIAL IT WAS EVEN ON THE NEWS. FACEBOOK WILL START CHARGING DUE TO THE NEW PROFILE CHANGES. These rumors are simply untrue. “It’s free and always will be” is still in giant font on the Facebook homepage. Besides, Facebook is already making billions in revenue.  No monthly fees, no subscriptions to get the updates– everything is free (I mean, Facebook needs you to want to continue to use their site. It’s how they make billions selling ads).

So don't worry about these rumors. Enjoy using facebook.

Re-union Short Film (2010) Fiera 2k10 Award winning movie

Re-Union is a short film made by LANS Cre@tive and Verwe Interactive for participating in the Fiera2k10 Arts Festival of College of Engineering, Kallooppara. This movie won 1st place in that event.

How to Decrypt Encrypted eval( (str_rot13() data.

When I’m working with a wordpress template site, I wants to change the footer links of that site. But when I tries to edit it, the whole site is disappears. I checked my footer.php file. But there is nothing special in it. Then I checked the functions.php file and surprised that there are some encrypted codes!

So here I am explaining how to decrypt those codes. You need a little bit knowledge in php to do this, but I don’t think it was necessary. By the following step by step instructions you can do it easily.

1) Check footer.php file or functions.php file for eval(str_rot13 code

If there is any line which starts with “eval(str_rot13 “ then it is ROT encrypted code. We can decrypt it using any online decryption method say - Online ROT13 encoder and decoder. Just copy the code after eval(str_rot13( and go to Online ROT13 encoder and decoder and paste it. Now click ROT -13 transformation button. Hurray!!! You got the original code. Now check the functions used inside that code.

Another Way

You can do this in another way also without using any Online ROT13 encoder and decoder.

Every encrypting function in PHP will will be seen by the “eval()” function. Therefore you just have to write echo instead of “eval”. That’s it. Now execute the PHP file. Now you will see the decoded code on the page.

2) Now check the decrypted code. There may be a function like check_footer(); Simply remove that function and reload the site. That’s all.

An encrypted code is shown below

The decrypted code is:

Here you can simply remove the check_footer() function. Then this function will not check for it. Remember if you try to delete all the code you decrypted, it will not resolve the problem.

Metro Train - Will his dream comes true? Animation video

As part of our academic project we done this animation video named "Metro Train".

The students of College of Engineering, Kallooppara (CEK) often face the problems related to the journey from Thiruvalla to CEK. Though there is a college bus, its not enough for over 800 students coming from Thiruvalla. It has become usual that many students reach college late, and authorities are not bothered about this problem.

So we decided to create a project based on this topic. Apart from directly criticizing the authorities, we decided to represent it as a boy’s story who dreams about a "Metro Train" when there is no bus to his college.
